Knock It Off!

My freshman year (81-82), I lived in 346. Back in those days the 11’s and the 46’s were all quad rooms for freshman. Sometime during the spring, the weather was nice on a weekend day and we were all opening the windows and enjoying the fresh air. At some point someone got the idea to add some music to the experience, with a Baker twist. So all the 46s pointed their stereo speakers out the windows facing the Charles and flipped to left channel only, while the 11’s did the same with the right channel. All were tuned to WBCN (which was the rock station back then). When we all cranked the volume, we could hear the music echoing back after bouncing off the buildings on the Boston side of the river. This went on for about a half hour, until the Boston police called the front desk and told us to “knock it off” :-)
